Thatch Ridge Repairs on a Major Scale!

Here is a roof which last had work done to the ridge over 30 years ago.  After judging the reed work was still good enough to be saved and in addition to fitting the new ridge we also had to put two new top courses of reed on.  The height of the new ridge can be gauged when looking at the number of bricks visible on the small chimney before and after.  The new increased pitch of the ridge will shed water much more quickly.
